| POST – GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT ( PGDMRM) |
| Objective |
The Medical Council of India has stipulated it as a statutory requirement that all teaching medical institutions should have a well – organized Meidcal Record Department. Hospitals will have to adhere to such policies and principles of assessing causewise morbidity and mortality patterns, as specified by World Health Organization. As in the developed countries, in India also it may become mandatory that a Medical Record Department should exist for the recognition or accreditation of a hospital.
