The Madras Medical Mission (MMM) is a service oriented non-profit organisation registered under the Tamil Nadu Charitable Societies Act 1975. Formed by a group of 140 members belonging to the Orthodox Syrian Church of the East, its activities are managed by a 20 member Governing Board. Decisions affecting the day-to-day functioning of the Mission are taken by a Managing Committee, consisting of a Vice President, Hon.Secretary and Hon.Treasurer, all of whom do not draw any dividends or interests from the society. A budget of about Rs. 5 crores is allocated every year for charity.

 * The Governing Board has elected Dr.K.Jacob as the Honorary Secretary of the Madras Medical Mission with effect from 15 th January 2009.Dr.Jacob a medical doctor by qualification is a successful industrialist in Chennai. He has been a member of the Governing Board since 2008. Dr.Jacob is currently the Hon. Secretary of the Union Christian Association, Chennai which runs the UCA Matriculation Higher Secondary School and other institutions like UCA College of Nursing & College of Physiotherapy.
