Objectives:
The course B.Sc HIA the first of its kind in India is unique as it trains candidates for careers in various medical documentation settings. Graduates will be able to take up jobs in diverse health care organisations, medical transcription firms and health insurance firms. They will also be independently manage outpatients services and units providing documentation services. |
The program equips the candidates to upgrade the knowledge and skills in health information systems and have a rewarding career. The syllabus is relevant to the needs of the health sector. The curriculum includes pre and paraclinical subjects , Medical Terminology, Bio Statistics, Medical Ethics and Legal Aspects, International Classification of Disease and Coding, Epidemiology, Applied Medical Transcription , Coding for Health Insurance, Professional Practice and a project work. |
